John is an avid sports fan and attends many of the local sporting events.  In high school he was an all conference quaterback and defensive back and received several scholarship offers to play football.  He went to Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas to play football before transferring to Oklahoma Christian.  John coaches one of his daughters' soccer team.  He enjoys being outdoors and is in a group of attorneys that lease land in Oklahoma for hunting pheasants and quail.
